At the heart of Swiss Cottage, nestled away on Winchester Road, you’ll discover the Community Centre Cafe—a cozy and welcoming spot that brings together the essence of traditional café dining with a community spirit. This local gem is more than just a place to grab a quick bite; it’s an experience that invites you to sit back, savor delicious food, and enjoy the surroundings.

The café is celebrated for its extensive menu that caters to every palate but shines brilliantly when it comes to classic British fare. Imagine indulging in a hearty Full English Breakfast featuring perfectly cooked eggs, crispy bacon, and succulent sausages, all served up alongside golden fries, all for just £4.50. For those craving something a bit lighter, the omelettes—whether a simple cheese delight or a savory ham version—are crafted to perfection, with a side of chips and salad accompanying each order.

As many of the reviews suggest, the atmosphere is a real highlight. It’s spacious and comfortable, adorned with attractive decor, including a large tapestry that adds character and charm. Customers such as Ed Paul rave about the caring service offered by the staff, making every visit feel personalized and special. It’s the ideal spot for everyone—from families looking for a cozy breakfast to solitary souls seeking a warm cup of tea.

As you soak in the views of the nearby cherry blossoms in springtime, the café becomes a picturesque setting for a delightful brunch, just as Anoohya Vishu discovered. She crafted her own veggie brunch, relishing the friendly atmosphere and delicious food that transcended expectations. This sentiment is echoed by regulars like Abdalur Rahman, who appreciates the café's unwavering commitment to quality and affordability. Each dish is made with care, and you never leave with an empty stomach.

While some have noted pricing discrepancies—such as the cost of a slice of toast or a higher-than-expected omelette bill—the quality and service offered balance out any concerns. After all, where else can you find a café that melds simplicity and tradition so effortlessly in a chic neighborhood filled with boutique shops?

So, whether you’re popping by for an early morning sausage and bacon sandwich accompanied by a perfect cup of tea or settling in with friends for a casual afternoon meal, the Community Centre Cafe welcomes you with open arms and a delicious menu that promises satisfaction and comfort in every bite.

As a regular customer I can heartily recommend this café. It's very spacious and comfortable, with attractive views and a large tapestry on one wall, and the waitress always gives genuinely caring service. There's a range of dishes at reasonable prices. Very good value all round.

Food is good but felt a bit expensive for what it was and also feel that we have been overcharged. I know I should have mentioned it at the time but only thought about it afterwards. We had omelette with chips and were charges £11.50 even though the menu says omelette comes with chips and salad. Also felt that a slice of toast, charged at £1/ea was a bit expensive. Quality of food was good though.

I don't think i can think of any other worker type cafe in Swiss cottage. That's what makes it impressive that this one is here among the boutique shops. Okay so it's not the best cafe food I've had, nor the place itself which is on the 1st floor of a library. But for the fact it's still here serving modest cafe food, nice hot cups of tea. If you are looking either then this is your only place to go to in this area.

This place has become a local regular spot for me, the wife and kids. Just good old traditional cafe food. Simple is the best. Had a variety of dishes here from veggie breakfast, jacket potato to omelette, burgers and more. Never disappoints. Amazing service and affordable prices. A nice place to chill and have a quick bite to eat.

Mainly visited the cafe hoping to have coffee and brunch overlooking the blossoms as claimed on Instagram reels. But were obviously late in visiting and were sad that we missed the blossoms. Fortunately we did have brunch and the food was very delicious. The lady who served us was very friendly and helped me create a veggie brunch. Absolutely enjoyed the food although it was the typical English breakfast. Veggie sausage was different and tasty. Somehow, the baked beans tasted better and different. Quite enjoyed the food. My friend had a cheesy omelette and claimed it to be yummy too. The cafe is a decent place and very affordable. We were surprised by the prices in fact.

Enjoying a English breakfast with a stunning view of cherry blossom just outside the big windows of the cafe in an early Saturday morning!
